Our Beginning

Parvati Girls’ Hindu College was established in 2000 under The Secondary Education Modernisation Programme (SEMP). This programme arose out of the initiative to have Universal Secondary Education for all students in Trinidad and Tobago as well as the vision of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha to establish a college in South Trinidad which caters to secondary education for girls.

From inception the school was under the guidance of Principal, Miss Phulmatie Bhimull until 2009. Over the years the school grew from a population of 106 students and 6 teachers to approximately 628 students and 34 teachers.  Parvati Girls’ Hindu College continues to be a first choice school due to high disciplinary standards and outstanding academic achievements.
